What does "OE Certified
mean? OE Certification is only given to cars that have been restored
with original equipment parts that are correct for the car down to every
nut, bolt and crayon mark. These cars can have absolutely no
aftermarket parts, no parts that are date coded incorrectly and no parts
that would be incorrect for that year. All parts must be original or
NOS (new old stock). This is a very difficult
certification to obtain and sometimes takes years just to obtain the parts
necessary, if they can be found at all. This is not a "100 Point Show
Car" . It is several levels beyond that.
This was an OE Certified restoration that we did on a 70 Hemi Challenger R/T SE. It is 1 of 37 made, and 1 of only 2 ever OE Certified. ![]() ![]() ![]()
